As a casual academic at UniSC's School of Science, Technology and Engineering, you will engage in a variety of teaching and assessment activities, offering flexibility and the opportunity to share your expertise in a supportive academic environment.
Primary Objectives
- Deliver high-quality tutoring and teaching sessions to students across various Science, Technology and Engineering disciplines.
- Develop and update course materials in line with industry standards.
- Assess and mark student assignments, exams, and practical assessments.
- Facilitate interactive learning experiences and moderate discussions.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Engage with students to enhance their learning experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- A relevant postgraduate qualification in a Science, Technology and Engineering-related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic assessment at a tertiary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current in the Science, Technology and Engineering field.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
