An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled legal professional to join a growing in-house legal team and deliver quality legal support across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Reporting to the Legal & Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing reliable, precise, and practical legal advice to professionals across the business. Your work will span client-based matters as well as the operational needs of the organisation, with a focus on contractual risk management and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating consulting contracts within agreed timeframes.
- Analysing contract requirements and provisions to manage risk and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Contributing to contract improvement, training, compliance initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Aligning contracts with business goals and objectives.
- Coordinating contract negotiations, amendments, and addendums while ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to policies, procedures, and tools for contract management and reporting.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, with strong commercial and contract law expertise in a project-oriented environment.
- A sound understanding of Australian corporate legal, governance, and contract management frameworks.
- The ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with exceptional organisational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
