Accounts Payable Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own portfolio of suppliers and process transactions in line with University policies.
- Accurately process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and purchasing card transactions.
- Conduct weekly domestic payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
- Use TechnologyOne and OCR systems to process transactions efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is afull time fixed-term role(July 2025 – July 2026), based at our Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land), with hybrid work flexibility (up to 40% work-from-home).
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A certificate-level qualification in accounting or business, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years' experience in accounts payable or purchasing card management.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
- Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system is desired.
Eligibility
- You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo background checks, including criminal history check.
