- Salary $41.94 per hour (includes 25% casual loading) + 12% superannuation. Penalty rates apply for weekend work.
About the role
The Casual Cashier Attendant is responsible for assisting the Patonga Campground team in a variety of hands-on tasks, including cleaning of public amenities (shower and toilet blocks, outdoor barbeques etc), providing customer service and administration support and gardening duties as required. You will be joining a small, self-sufficient team in which all members are required to multi-task, work together and attend to any duties required for the smooth running of the campground.
The successful applicants will be employed on a casual day-to-day basis and will be required to be available to work between the hours of 6am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday (Flexible roster).
Key activities of this role include:
- Completing administrative functions including data entry, reservations and bookings via phone and email, cash handling, reconciliation and banking;
- Cleaning of onsite public amenities to maintain standards expected by guests;
- Gardening duties, including turf care, maintenance, watering, landscaping, spraying and using small plant equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to provide excellent customer service, with a customer-centric approach to liaise effectively with Council’s internal and external customers and members of the community;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Demonstrated ability to participate, communicate and work effectively as part of a team to achieve organisational goals and outcomes;
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise own work to meet project schedules and deadlines;
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, the use of booking systems, word processing packages, databases, spreadsheets and e-mail applications;
- Demonstrated flexible approach with the ability to work 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, over a variety of hours.
It is the responsibility of successful applicants to undertake a course of Hepatitis B and Tetanus vaccinations or to demonstrate their immunity prior to commencement of employment.
