A rare opportunity exists for a skilled HSEQ Manager to take charge of safety leadership within a contractor specialising in marine and heavy civil infrastructure. This permanent, full-time role is based in Port Adelaide, supporting high-risk works such as jetty and wharf construction, dredging, underwater pipelines and port infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSEQ strategy across all construction and marine operations.
- Conduct site audits, risk assessments, ICAM investigations and compliance reviews.
- Mentor and lead project-based HSEQ officers across multiple active sites.
- Ensure readiness for external audits and maintain certified HSEQ systems.
- Drive education and engagement in safety processes from boardroom to barge.
- Support incident and injury management and continuous safety improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum); Diploma or higher ideal.
- Strong HSEQ experience within marine construction, heavy civil or infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership of direct reports and multisite HSEQ programs.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, ISO systems and auditing practices.
- Proven ability in ICAM or equivalent incident investigation methods.
- Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence working in both office and field-based environments.
- Class C Driver's Licence (essential); First Aid / CPR certificates desirable.
