The Opportunity

We are seeking a permanent part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive and friendly Slade pharmacy team at the Epworth Private Hospital in Geelong. In this role you will perform the duties of both a pharmacy/dispensary technician and a pharmacy assistant.

This is a great opportunity for a pharmacy/dispensary technician looking to further develop their pharmacy career in a hospital environment, or for an experienced pharmacy assistant looking to upskill into a pharmacy technician role. Prior experience dispensing medication in a pharmacy setting is essential.

Shifts

- 8:00am – 2:00pm Saturday
- 8:00am – 1:00pm Sunday

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the sale of S2 and S3 medicines while displaying an appropriate level of knowledge
- Dispense medications under supervision for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist customers with general queries, including liaising with hospital staff
- Replenish stock and assist in maintaining inventory levels both in pharmacy and in the hospital
- Counsel customers about over-the-counter medicines
- Process orders
- Assist the pharmacy teams with other ad-hoc pharmaceutical duties

About Epworth Hospital Geelong

Epworth Geelong, part of the Epworth Healthcare network, is a growing private hospital with approximately 170 beds. It offers a comprehensive range of specialties, including oncology, surgery, general medical care, intensive care (ICU), coronary care and cardiac services (CCU), renal services, sub-acute rehabilitation, pain management, ophthalmology, respiratory care, palliative care, and outpatient IVF services.
