Storekeeper / Driver P&D / FPO

We are offering a key position for an exceptionally customer-centric individual As front line customer service in our retail stores and as a pickup and delivery driver you will be as to provide safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous interactions with our customers, while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.**Adequate customer service:*** Provides prompt and courteous delivery of cylindergases and/or welding supplies.* Picks up empty cylinders as required.* Maintains a personal liaison with Customers, AccountExecutives, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams.* Listens actively to customers to advise them onproducts, prices and availability in order to satisfy their needs. Answers technical questions. **Loads and unloads trucks:*** Loads and unloads trucks with other team members andensures trucks are loaded efficiently and in accordance with regulations.* Pick your own load of cylinders, plan out your daybased on items dispatched for you, drive to required sites and pick up empties than offload trucks upon return. **Truck equipment and maintenance:*** Ensures that maintenance and general appearance oftruck and all equipment used in the performance of his/her duties are properly maintained.* Contacts the CMS team immediately with any systemrelated problems. **Cylinder inspection:*** Inspects all cylinder ships and returns as to thecondition and reports any damage by tagging the cylinder and noting the customer information and condition on the tag and any other applicable documents.* Uses the Quality System to record defectivecylinders and customer complaints. **Administrative tasks:*** Issues accurate delivery notes and receipts for allproducts supplied and returned from customers to assure correct invoicing.* Maintains accurate truck records, including PANDA, TDGand WHMIS documentation, highway log, and follows all CMS procedures.* Receives and processes customer orders (phone, emailin, fax, etc)* Prepares quotations and standard tender requests.**Safety/Quality:*** Operates vehicles in a safe manner. Uses all tools,dock plates and tailgates in a safe and careful manner while taking particular care to ensure the personal safety of all people exposed to the said equipment.* Has full responsibility for cooperating with allaspects of ALC’s safety program.* Reports all unsafe conditions, and all accidentsimmediately to his Supervisor or the Safety Champion.* Advises customers on proper handling and storage ofcylinders and reports any safety hazards to his Supervisor.* Adheres to, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP) as it pertains to medical gases, and medical devices within the scope of their role.## /_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_## * **Diploma:** HighSchool Diploma* **Training:** Validclass 3 license with air, acceptable driver's abstract required* **Knowledge:** Mechanicalability, good communication skills, knowledge of compressed gases and basic welding processes, MS Office would be an asset.
