Overview

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. The merger with Bayside Health is subject to final approval on 1 January 2026. All employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health if approved. This is a permanent, part-time role (16 hours per week) located at Caulfield Hospital.

The Department

Psychology is an Allied Health Department, and comprises of approximately 130 psychologists, including Clinical Psychologists, Clinical-Forensic Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists. The Psychology Department is progressive and supportive of staff, providing great opportunities for knowledge and skill development through supervision and a professional development program for all psychology staff.

Psychologists are based at The Alfred Hospital, Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) including Adult and Older Adult and Child and Youth Mental Health Services, Caulfield Hospital, Sandringham Hospital, and Headspace sites.

The Role

The Clinical Psychologist works within the HACC service (Home, Acute and Community Care) at Caulfield Hospital and provides high quality assessment and management of psychological disorsders and behaviours for clients currently undergoing rehabilitation in an inpatient setting. At times, support is also provided to clients who are under the care of the Better at Home Program.

Qualifications and Experience Required

- Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology.

- Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.

- Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009.

- For Grade 3, approved Psychology Board of Australia Supervisor
