Quantitative Research Analyst – Macquarie Capital, Equities

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with research, internal sales and trading teams across all business areas to support both quantitative and fundamental institutional asset managers.
- Develop innovative quantitative solutions by independently researching and proposing commercial, thought-provoking quantitative ideas and high-quality support and advice to quantitative and fundamental clients to drive business value and bespoke projects and initiatives.
- Build and maintain equity models using advanced quantitative techniques, explore and implement AI-driven solutions within asset management and equity research, and identify and pursue new business opportunities that capitalise on the teams' expertise.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role or similar
- Knowledge and proven experience of financial market dynamics
- Experience with statistical programming languages, including R and Python
- Experience with optimisation and risk tools such as Axioma or Barra is preferred
- Degree-educated in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance or Economics. Postgraduate degree (PhD, MSc or CFA) is preferred
- Collaborative team mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
