As a Therapeutic Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing nurturing care and emotional support to children with disabilities living in out-of-home care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide child-centered care that promotes emotional and physical well-being
- Establish daily routines to create a structured environment
- Implement behaviour management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies
- Organize age-appropriate activities promoting social and emotional development
- Collaborate with families and guardians to support progress and maintain open communication
- Ensure safety and security at all times
- Mediate conflicts and teach conflict resolution skills
- Teach essential life skills and advocate for children's best interests
- Continuous Growth: Invest in your skills and knowledge with ongoing training opportunities
- Unified Team: Collaborate with a caring and passionate team that values your success
- Holistic Impact: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with disabilities
- Flexibility: Enjoy a work-life balance with our unique rostering system
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate
- Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
- To be successful, applicants must be qualified to or be willing to enrolled into a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention.
