Kmart Australia's Merchandise and Supply Chain technology group manages products that delight customers worldwide. With over 200 technology professionals, they build, support, and improve sophisticated retail technology across Australia, New Zealand, and globally.

Your team will develop solutions to expand online shopping, offering a broader merchandise range and a seamless shopping experience. Be part of the digital transformation revolutionizing our operations and customer service.

What you'll be doing

- Owning a new online shopping platform, building .NET systems with DevOps (CI/CD) practices and automation testing for efficiency and reliability.
- Leading a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering growth.
- Using cloud technologies, especially AWS, to improve system scalability and performance.
- Serving as an escalation point for critical support activities related to the online merchandise platform.
- Maintaining clean code principles through coding and unit testing of new software products.
- Contributing to new features and maintaining key merchandise systems.
- Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex challenges.
- Participating in requirements gathering and technical design to ensure successful development.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- Experience leading technical teams and supporting engineers' growth.
- Experience in contemporary development environments focused on continuous improvement.
- Proven full-stack development experience, especially in .NET technologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills to influence product owners and support large-scale device and telephony rollouts.
- Experience delivering software using modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and automation testing.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Experience in Retail, FMCG, Logistics, or Supply Chain is a plus but not essential.
