About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Mater at Home team based in South Brisbane. This full-time, six-week maximum-term position offers a unique opportunity to provide expert clinical leadership and operational support within an innovative and compassionate healthcare environment. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting nursing services across community and hospital settings.
Salary range: $66.85 to $72.58 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will provide advanced nursing expertise to patients with complex healthcare needs, coordinating care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will lead service improvement initiatives, support staff development, and contribute to research and education activities. Additionally, you will foster strong partnerships with external healthcare providers and assist in the operational management of the Mater at Home service.
About you
You are a motivated nursing professional with a strong clinical background and leadership skills. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Minimum five years’ nursing experience in an acute clinical setting
- Proven competency in cannulation, venepuncture, IDC and SPC management
- Advanced skills in patient assessment and care coordination
- Experience with information management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- A current open driver’s licence
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
