The Opportunity

Join our dynamic IT Infrastructure and Service Desk Team as an IT Support Engineer - Level 1. In this pivotal role, you will deliver exceptional support to our internal users of approximately 600 staff while assisting with a wide range of corporate systems. As a hosting-led company, we pride ourselves on utilizing modern technologies.

This is a full-time role working in a hybrid environment - 4 days in our Sydney CBD office and 1 day working from home.

We are looking for a self-driven Graduate to build a long term career in IT with us.

You’ll have the chance to grow and build a long-term career at Macquarie Technology Group. You will embark on a two-year program designed to guide you through various career pathways in cybersecurity, networking, or infrastructure.

We are seeking a passionate Support Engineer who genuinely cares about providing great customer service, thrives on daily interactions with users, and is committed to resolving technical issues. You will take ownership of support requests and provide timely updates to ensure a seamless user experience.

This position is perfect for an early-career IT professional who is tech-driven and eager to exceed customer expectations.

What you will be doing

- Providing customer service and technical support to all of our staff.

- Manage ticket queue’s assignments, resolutions and SLA’s.

- Provide end‑user focused support of end‑user and office based devices.

- Contributing to an on‑call roster.

- Administration and Support of internal user’s on Active Directory, O365 and other internally developed systems.

- Undertake the required training and certifications.

- Career pathways in cyber security, systems admin and networking.

Required Skills & Experience

- You have graduated from a Bachelor of Engineering/IT/Computer Science or any other Technology related degree

- You love problem‑solving and are always up for a challenge

- Experience in PC Hardware configuration utilizing imaging software.

- Experience supporting LAN’s, PC operating systems and desktop software.

- Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange and/or Windows 7/8.

- High desire to grow and learn - willing to study and complete IT certifications

- Tech‑driven and passionate about providing the best customer experience.

- High sense of urgency when supporting and providing solutions to customers.

- Exceptional communication skills.

- Ability to work on an On‑Call rotating roster.

- You have indefinite full working rights in Australia.
