Senior Software Engineer – Domain – PriceFinder

Join the Homepass Squad as a strategic full stack engineering role dedicated to perfecting the property inspection and open home experience for agents and their customers.

Responsibilities

- Architectural Excellence: Architect solutions and build high-quality, scalable, reliable, and performant solutions in collaboration with the team.

- Engineering Leadership: Actively mentor junior engineers in solution design, build high-quality solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

- Efficiency Champion: Drive strategic initiatives to improve development workflow, reduce TOIL, and champion engineering efficiency for the team and services.

- Best Practices: Champion engineering best practices and contribute to cross‑domain technology forums.

- System Health: Proactively contribute to the system health and tech debt backlog and continuously improve software quality to reduce incidents over time.

- Operational Readiness: Be an effective on‑call responder and maintain/patch systems as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

- Experience with React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React.js.

- Highly regarded experience with MongoDB and familiarity with document and relational data persistence models.

- Experience designing scalable software solutions for highly trafficked customer‑facing websites or complex mobile apps.

- Experience working with common cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed applications in the cloud.

- Experience working with tech leads to optimize engineering practices, implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD, and working in Agile environments.

- Experience mentoring more junior engineers and working effectively within cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, Tech).
