4 Paws Vet is a busy and conveniently located practice in Sydney’s lower North Shore. For over 25 years we have served the Neutral Bay community from our purpose‑built hospital. We are now seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in nursing and be ready for the next step in their career, with the possibility of learning about practice management and advancing into succession planning.
Responsibilities
- Undertake nursing tasks, upholding the highest standards of surgical and hospital nursing, pre‑ and post‑operative care, in‑house pathology, dental procedures and radiology.
- Provide client care including nurse consultations, admissions, discharges and occasional assistance at reception.
- Assist the Head Nurse with the day‑to‑day running of the nursing team and hospital workflow.
- Mentor junior team members, including work‑place students.
- Handle cats confidently under the Silver ISFM accreditation program.
We are equipped with modern technology such as an iDXO in‑house laboratory, digital X‑rays, dental X‑rays, ultrasound and RX works. Our practice focuses on high standards, keeping patients at the centre of everything we do.
We are looking for a positive team player, who exudes enthusiasm while maintaining a calm and professional manner. Confidence and highly developed communication skills are essential.
This position shares a roster with other nursing staff, with one Saturday (9 am–2 pm) in every four weeks. Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
