Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network and Systems Engineer for a permanent role based in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience in network architecture, system infrastructure, and IT security. You will play a key role in supporting and improving customer networks and systems while driving innovation and best practices.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership in managing customer networks, infrastructure, and security
- Proactively identify and implement improvements through automation and best practice configuration
- Troubleshoot escalated incidents involving security, routing, and switching
- Lead technical integrations across WAN, WLAN, LAN, Virtual Infrastructure, IaaS, MS Office 365, firewalls, and more
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable networks and systems
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and effective problem-solving
- Stay ahead of emerging security threats and industry trends, providing insights and solutions
- Support ongoing improvement of processes and reference architectures

Skills

- 5+ years of experience in network architecture, design, and support (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VPN)
- Proficient in troubleshooting WAN, WLAN, LAN, Virtual Infrastructure, and MS environments
- Expertise in scripting languages and IT security practices
- Certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, or VCP are highly regarded
- Familiarity with Microsoft Server, Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, and scripting technologies
- Knowledge of security systems (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos) and networking infrastructure (e.g. HPE Aruba, Cisco, Juniper)
- Experience with backup technologies like Veeam and StorageCraft
