Consumer lending organization is seeking a Cloud Operations/DevOps Engineer lead who will be responsible for setting the standards, practices and driving the adoption of DevOps principles and practices across the organization. This leader manages a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers who align closely with the application development and enterprise architecture teams to ensure that best of breed future cloud architecture is collaboratively defined and realized in an agile fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the organization's cloud and DevOps strategy, ensuring successful delivery of complex technical solutions across our operating companies. Define and implement the global strategy for DevOps practices, aligning it with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders including engineering, Information Security, and networking to oversee the successful delivery of complex technical solutions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Drive innovation and the adoption of DevOps culture, principles, and practices across the organization, promoting collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage expenses to budget and always focus on optimizing the portfolio for streamlined operation.
- Drive innovation within the organization by promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices for cloud and DevOps processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy protocols for all DevOps projects.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators and metrics for the Cloud and DevOps Delivery team, making adjustments and improvements as needed.
- Lead and manage a team of DevOps professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
- Establish and maintain effective CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes while eliminating disruptions to customer experience.
- Assist with developing and monitoring controls related to Cloud and Emerging Technologies to meet applicable security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical field. Graduate degree preferred.
- 8+ years working with public cloud services providers specifically AWS – as a consumption of platform services and automation and scaling of services.
- Excellent people management and leadership capabilities and ability to effectively prioritize, execute, and delegate tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience with advanced platform-based technologies – docker, Kubernetes, cloud foundry and Jenkins as an example.
- Deep understanding of IT financial structures and ability to manage to corporate financial practices and goals, including drivers of process cost.
- Experience working with a wide range of open-source tools and distribution engines.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives/transformations.
