Trades assistant / Mechanic

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the role entails preparing machines for hire, undertaking repairs and servicing within a dynamic and vibrant mechanical workshop environment.

The role ideally suits someone who has previous hands‑on experience within the hire industry.

Ideal experience for this position:

- Trade qualified mechanic or person of good mechanical aptitude

- Previous experience with equipment hire or similar industry;

- Strong hands‑on skills in a similar mechanical field

- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude towards all tasks that present themselves

- Work efficiently as part of a strong team

- Possess the ability to think on their feet

- High level organisation skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

- Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written

- Have a strong commitment to OH&S and QA systems.

Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with minimum supervision and within specific time frames would be required.
