Care Worker – At Home Services

About the role

As a Care Worker supporting clients in Canberra, you will be part of our BaptistCare At Home team that provides quality complex care and support to our clients in their own homes. You may assist with a range of tasks including household cleaning, showering, dressing, food preparation, continence support, medication assistance and transport, to name a few. You will also develop genuine connections with your clients and help them live their best possible lives.

You will need to be available a minimum of 4 days per week Monday to Friday. Some weekend shifts are available.

Responsibilities

- Assist with household cleaning and daily living activities

- Support showering and dressing

- Assist with food preparation and continence support

- Medication assistance and transport to appointments or activities

- Develop genuine connections with clients to help them live their best lives

What we need from you

- Unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and a reliable vehicle with Third Party Property Damage Insurance

- Strong communication skills with resilience and patience

- Proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email
