Coulson Aviation Australia operates the New South Wales Rural Fire Service fleet of aerial firefighting and emergency services assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With a diverse fleet of a Boeing 737 FIRELINER, Citation and King Air Command/Control aircraft, CH47D Chinooks, UH-60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters we operate a high paced year-round operation.

What we’re looking for

The Supply and Distribution Manager will provide logistics support to Bankstown and Richmond Operations. Duties include the daily management of stores, inventory, and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure the safe and accurate controlling of stores area for all inventory items. This includes inspection and receipt of inventory items into stores, and the proper tracking of inventory to meet regulatory requirements.

- Manage and control equipment for the support of all aircraft under certified air control or ownership.

- Ensure equipment is operational and manage periodic calibration and testing of equipment as required.

- Order and replenish inventory levels are as required.

- Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met as related to the Stores department.

- Satisfy position requirements of Stores Coordinator, as described in CA CASR Part 145 AMO Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Engineering Procedures Manual.

- Monitor non-aircraft related inventory levels, such as office supplies, paper products, consumables, etc. Replenish stock as required.

- Manage periodic calibration and testing of equipment as required.

- Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies that align with aircraft maintenance schedules and operational goals, ensuring readiness and efficiency across all maintenance programs.

- Forecast parts demand and plan inventory levels based on aircraft maintenance schedules, fleet utilization, and lead times, to ensure zero downtime due to material shortages.

- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and maintenance teams to align procurement and logistics activities with upcoming maintenance events, modifications, and inspections.

- Ensure compliance with CASA and other regulatory requirements related to storage, traceability, shelf-life monitoring, and certification of aircraft parts and materials.

- Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness for all supply chain and distribution processes, supporting internal quality assurance and external regulatory audits.

- Other related duties as required

Experience Requirements

- 2+ years in similar role

- Experience in warehousing and inventory management, including but not limited to receiving, despatch, freight handling, purchasing and issuing of stock

- Aviation experience preferred

Compensation

Salary: $100,000 per year.
