5 Star Auto Garage and Mobile is a growing progressive business providing workshop diagnostics and repair, as well as mobile mechanic services. We are seeking a qualified and experienced motor mechanic for a full‑time position in our workshop located in Melton.

- Salary: $74,000‑$78,000 plus super.

Task & responsibilities

- Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles (transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes).

- Diagnose faults in engines and parts.

- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and check parts.

- Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed.

- Perform scheduled maintenance services to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.

- Reassemble engines and parts after repairs.

- Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs for proper performance, diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.

- Inspect vehicles and issue road‑worthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve road‑worthiness.

Qualification & experience

- Great customer service.

- Driver's licence.

- Current mechanic qualifications with a minimum of Cert IV.

- Minimum one year of work experience as a Motor Mechanic.

Salary: $75,000‑$80,000.
