The position

The Maintenance Services Assistant is responsible for implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating an efficient and effective preventative and corrective maintenance program for buildings, equipment, and grounds at their residential aged care home. Experience is desirable but not necessary

Key Duties

- Ensure buildings and public areas, including grounds, are maintained to a safe, high-quality standard.

- Perform general maintenance tasks ensuring that facilities are safe, to standard and in good working order.

- Perform garden maintenance tasks ensuring garden beds, pathways and outdoor seating areas are safe, clean and free from debris, and that plants are watered.

- Maintain records of the maintenance and gardening programs.

- Ensure adequate stock items for regular corrective maintenance and gardening tasks.

- Assist in the maintenance of an accurate and up to date asset register.

- Contribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement and capital works planning.

- Ensure vehicles at the facility are kept clean and tidy and are serviced in accordance with the service maintenance schedule.

Essential Requirements

- General maintenance and gardening skills.

- Current Drivers License.

- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

- NDIS Check (or ability to acquire)
