JOB TITLE: Compliance Manager Singapore

JOB LEVEL: Professional

SCOPE OF WORK: Responsible for Compliance and Legal Requirements

We are looking for a Compliance Manager in Singapore with an eye for detail but able to work efficiently to assist in all compliance and AML matters within the Company. Candidate should have experienced in the sphere of financial crime prevention, as well as with the, Payment Services Act and the subsidiary regulations, and have dealt with Regulators on a regular basis.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

General

- Establishing and maintaining the framework for AML policies, systems and processes to counter the risks of the Company’s involvement in money laundering, terrorist financing, weapons proliferation and sanctions, as well as filing of suspicious transaction reports
- Coordinate and review regular transaction monitoring and analysis from a financial crime perspective
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring senior management is aware of the enterprise-wide AML risk assessment for the Company as well as the corresponding mitigation measures
- Regulatory compliance
- Managing regulatory compliance within the Company
- Be abreast of new regulatory requirements
- Endorse annual compliance monitoring programs, ensuring adherence to ongoing obligations
- Ensure regulatory compliance through regulatory monitoring or audits
- Coordinate with counterparties on regulatory requests and ensure prompt follow-up
- Main liaison points with regulators
- Internal compliance
- Provide 2nd level monitoring and management of compliance to internal policies and procedures
- Managing and dealing with matters relating to Code of Conduct, errors, complaints, as well as incidents and their proper handling
- Compliance assessments and advisory
- Assess new initiatives, products and businesses for compliance and legal issues, and point out key issues and potential compliance risks for management acceptance.
- Legal documentation
- Review legal documentation for requested changes or draft new documents, liaising with legal adviser where required.
- Process improvements and other ad-hoc projects, including system implementation

Management reporting

- Reporting to CCO for approval

Business Division

- Ensure that company complies to all legal requirements
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
- Internal Audits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- At least a degree in preferably Law, Business, Accountancy, Finance or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry
- Experience dealing with regulators and comfortable with making decisions
- Familiar with AML / KYC tools and financial crime prevention standards for the digital asset space
- Well-versed with regulatory obligations introduced PSA, and changing regulatory framework of digital assets
- Able to work in high pressure environment.
