- About the opportunity: Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that
- You’ll be: Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility.
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.
- Working the following days/hours - permanent part time position: (Monday 10:00am - 6:30pm, Tuesday 9:30am - 6:30pm, Wednesday 9:30am - 6:30pm)
About you
You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable person who loves autonomy as well as teamwork. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
- Have full work rights (unrestricted)
- Hold a relevant heavy vehicle license (MR license or above)
- Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of various shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- Meet our safe working load limit of 120 kg or less
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks
