Council of the City of Sydney, Australia VAE Group Full time

VAE Group is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to perform hands-on complex installation and maintenance of HVAC systems in the CQ region. The successful candidate may be based in Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, or Maryborough, but must be willing to travel between these locations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting detailed inspections of buildings/sites
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical or control faults in HVAC systems and components
- Planning general electrical maintenance and repair work as required
- Installing refrigerant pipe work, flow controls, and accessories
- Providing quotations for service jobs or installation works
- Providing technical support as required
- Developing strong relationships with customers

VAE Group is also seeking a Branch Manager to plan, develop, and direct service and projects activities within the NT region. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and overseeing all branch operations, ensuring performance and accountability
- Building strong client relationships and ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Managing budgets, controlling costs, and overseeing invoicing and financial performance
- Supervising, developing, and supporting field and office staff
- Planning workloads and ensuring KPI targets are met
- Supporting business growth through tenders, quotes, and contract negotiations

A Graphics Engineer is also required to design and develop intuitive BMS graphics, interactive dashboards, and visual prototypes. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and developing clear User Interfaces for new and existing projects
- Gathering information required for a project
- Creating mock-ups for the project related to information gathered
- Creating prototypes and visual designs for new ideas when required
- Creating graphics and User Interface pages according to mock-ups and specifications

A Project Manager (BMS) is sought to oversee BMS projects from sales handover through to the end of the defects liability period. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading end-to-end project delivery across all phases—from scope and design to commissioning and close-out
- Managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project execution
- Planning and tracking project progress, providing regular updates and status reports

An IBP Technician is required to deliver high-level technical services to support integrated building systems across various platforms and protocols. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing IBP servers and virtual machines, ensuring performance, security, and backups
- Troubleshooting and optimizing system integrations across open protocols, middleware, and APIs
- Maintaining Tridium Niagara systems and supporting Windows Server and Ubuntu environments
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime

A Business Development Manager – Service Maintenance is sought to manage and generate new business opportunities and maximize sales in the Service Division. Key responsibilities include:

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities focused on service maintenance contracts
- Supporting Customer Account Managers and Service Managers to maximize opportunities within the existing client base
- Assisting with competitive contract renewals to retain key clients and secure long-term agreements
- Targeting market segments where VAE can successfully compete and develop relationships with key stakeholders
