Are you a German speaking tour guide who dreams of inspiring travellers whilst discovering what Kangaroo Island has to offer? Do you have expert knowledge of the local landscape and history that you would love to share with groups of travellers? As a tour leader your days will be filled with creating unforgettable moments for travellers and showcasing the amazing things Australia has to offer, all whilst getting paid to do so. You’ll be working alongside an awesome team in a company with guides at the heart of what we do, therefore providing industry leading training and fantastic development and growth opportunities. If you are someone who remains calm under pressure, has sharp problem-solving abilities with an ability to wear a smile to work each morning, we want you.

Every day will be different, but every day you will:

- Drive a group of travellers around Kangaroo Island, providing them with local information and amazing customer service, you’ll create memories our customers will never forget

- Ensure the safety and well-being of your group, at times you will have to assist in difficult situations whilst remaining calm and professional. A traveller may lose their passport, need medical attention, or there may be a clash of personalities...you will be the first point of call

- Host, lead and execute tours to budget, following the itinerary and fulfilling your administrative duties

- Live your passion for travel and share your love of it with our travellers. Every step of the way you’ll embody our core values of real, impactful, ambitious and together

To be our next leader, you must:

- Live in Kangaroo Island and want to guide and drive tours around the local area

- Love that no two days are the same and thrive when out of your comfort zone

- Have strong communication skills and enjoy bringing people together

- Be organised, proactive and able to spin many plates under pressure

- Have full work rights in Australia with a Remote Area First Aid & CPR Certificate, a valid SA Passenger Endorsement/Accreditation and a Medium Rigid License

- Be passionate about showcasing the beauty of Australia, with strong knowledge of First Nations culture advantageous

- Have at least 1 year of prior experience working as a Tour Guide

- Hold a Seal Bay Accreditation and an Uluru Kata Tjuta Guide Accreditation

The important stuff:

- The salary for this role sits within the range of $77,000-82,000 + bonuses and fantastic travel benefits

- This is a full time, permanent position, which will give you flexibility in when and how you work. We run tours in Kangaroo Island all year round, so we are seeking candidates available for training in December with great availability thereafter

- As you can imagine, some days on trips are long, and require a decent level of fitness alongside lots of chatting, so it is important you are both physically and mentally prepared
