10X Grooming Pty Ltd require a Dog Handler or Trainer to join their team in Manly, NSW.

Responsibilities

- Assisting in providing food and medication to dogs;
- Communicating behavioural concerns to dog owners as required;
- Conferring with dog owners to determine the type of training required;
- Developing and implementing customized training programs based on dogs/' training needs and behavioural patterns;
- Ensuring that all sleep, play, and training areas are clean and sanitary;
- Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented training programs and adjusting them as needed;
- Maintaining accurate records of dogs/' training and medical needs, behavioural issues, personalized training programs, and progress;
- Monitoring dogs during assigned play and socialization times to prevent accidents or injuries;
- Promptly reporting injuries, accidents, or medical issues to management.

Qualifications

To be considered you will need a relevant AQF Certificate IV level qualification or higher and at least two years of relevant post qualification employment experience OR at least three years of relevant employment experience.

Preferred skills and attributes

- Completion of an approved dog handler training program;
- The ability to handle different breeds and sizes of dogs;
- The ability to work with minimal supervision;
- The ability to remain calm in difficult situations;
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills;
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills;
- An observant, alert, and patient disposition.

This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $77,000 - $87,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
