Be a part of the discovery Summary The Clinical Recruitment Associate will have a focus on patient recruitment, general health promotions, creating and maintaining relationships in the community, with individuals, non-profit organizations, and businesses. They will set up educational events related to Pinnacle Clinical Research programs and activities, as well as perform community outreach and collaborate with healthcare providers. Duties and Responsibilities - Performing all functions and activities within the guidelines and philosophy set forth in Pinnacle Clinical Research Strategic Plan, Policies, Mission, Vision and Goals - Providing health education and support to community members and peers regarding Pinnacle Clinical Research - Recruiting patients through health promotion via various activities approved by Pinnacle Clinical Research, i.e., home visits, health fairs, public events, etc. - Developing relationships with local health care and social service providers to facilitate information sharing and service provision - Pinnacle Clinical Research by providing accurate information to both community members and health care providers - Actively participates in, and completes training provided by Pinnacle Clinical Research and other agencies when applicable - Collecting health information from patients, such as medical history and basic health information - Coordinating participation at events with other vendors and community representatives - Responsible for the safety and protection of all company property during events - Will be trained and certified to provide Fibroscans and Memory Screens - Recruits and schedules study participants for research studies and is familiar with protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria for the therapeutic area of focus - Coordinates and collaborates with principal/sub-investigators to schedule research subjects for screen potential subjects for participation in research studies. - Always maintains subject and document confidentiality; Understands and complies with the appropriate sponsor requirements, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, good clinical practice (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), Institutional Review Boards (IRB), and Pinnacle’s policies, work instructions, and procedures. - Manage recruitment calls/emails, including incoming calls/emails and calling/emailing potential research subjects. - Tracks recruitment efforts, subject interaction, and subject participation in research studies, utilizing a clinical trial management system. - Participates in community outreach efforts to recruit subjects for research studies. - Performs Fibroscans, Memory Screens, and corresponding assessments both off-site and on-site locations - Works with referring physicians, referring practices and community partners as needed. - Updates, sends, and edits database records as needed. - Serves as liaison between Pinnacle and referring clinics on FibroScan reports and availability for scan days. - Establishes and maintains hard copies of database records.> - Assists in establishing recruitment lists from EMR database, patient database, CTMS system, and other databases as needed. - Maintains subject and study confidentiality - Works with clinic staff, research personnel, and marketing department on Fibroscan Department needs - Obtains and reports information provided by the community outreach representative - Provides outreach support with patient scheduling from marketing events - Performs other duties as assigned, activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time Education/Experience Associates degree in a related field; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses Valid Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities - Oral and written communication skills - Bilingual (Spanish strongly preferred) - Organizational skills - Ability to pay attention to detail - People skills, including possessing a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor - Ability to be flexible with changing priorities - Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner Work Environment and Physical Demands The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
