About the opportunity As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to. - Casual Position | "On Call" after training your roster will include a mix of both scheduled and unscheduled shifts, Monday to Friday, between 6:30am – 9:30am - Extensive, supportive full time (paid) training - Loaded casual rate $34.45 / hour increases to $36.83 / hour after 3 months, + 12% Superannuation - Junior rates apply for those under 21 during training You’ll be - Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace. - Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes. - Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance. About you - You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. - You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. - Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting. - Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
