Gymnastics Coach Casual Multiple Positions Available

Melbourne Girls Grammar has a proud tradition of empowering Grammarians through sport and physical activity. The Artemis Centre is central to this vision, offering diverse opportunities for health, fitness, and wellbeing.

Artemis Gymnastics, a Gymnastics Australia–affiliated club, is one of Melbourne’s leading Gymnastics for All programs. We deliver recreational gymnastics and tumbling programs for children aged 3–16, designed to build balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, and confidence. Our focus is on creating positive experiences that inspire a lifelong love of movement.

We are seeking enthusiastic Casual Gymnastics Coaches to deliver engaging and high-quality coaching.

About the Role

- Assist with coaching morning classes to Early Learning Centre students (3–4 years)
- Deliver afternoon gymnastics sessions to Junior Years PE classes (Prep–Year 4)
- Coach afterschool foundation gymnastics and tumbling classes
- Holiday programs and Saturday morning sessions

Session times range from 3–4.5 hours, with availability during term time and school holidays preferred. Monday afternoon availability is strongly desired.

About you:

- Experience in sports or gymnastics coaching (dance, acrobatics, or circus backgrounds welcome)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a supportive environment
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Current Gymnastics Australia Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Current WWCC (Employee) or VIT Registration

This position would suit intermediate to senior gymnastics coaches, however teachers in training or applicants with a background in dancing, acrobatics, or circus art, are welcome to apply.

Teacher of Health and Physical Education (HPE) Ongoing (Years 5 – 10) Commencing Term 1, 2026

- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Health and Physical Education lessons that foster student growth and wellbeing
- Use a range of teaching strategies and assessment tools to support diverse learning needs and maximise student outcomes
- Contribute to curriculum planning and innovation within the HPE team
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Actively promote student participation in sport, health, and wellbeing programs
- Uphold MGGS’s commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life

About You:

- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or can gain VIT registration. Early career teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Expertise in Health and Physical Education curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment practices
- Experience with or interest in outdoor education highly regarded
- Skilled at building meaningful, respectful relationships with students and colleagues
- Passionate about student wellbeing and inspiring healthy, active lifestyles
- Proficient in using digital tools (including LMS and multimedia programs) to enhance teaching and learning

Artemis Aquatics provides high quality coaching and learning experiences in water safety and skill development for a range of ages and abilities, with a progressive pathway.

We are seeking Learn To Swim (LTS) Teachers who are looking to join a growing program. Depending on availabilities and rostering, a number of casual positions will be available with preference given to applicants with flexible availabilities across Monday to Saturday.

Ideal candidates will be passionate about swimming and will inspire all students to be the swimmer they want to be. They’ll be knowledgeable about current swimming trends and best practice, as well as personable and warm. In collaboration with the Head of Swimming and Learn To Swim Co-ordinator, the LTS Teachers will assess participants to ensure allocation into appropriate lessons and levels, establish strong bonds with swimmers and their families, and foster opportunities for students to grow and develop their skills.

- ASCTA Swimming and Water Safety Teacher accreditation, and/or AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety.
- Sports Australia Community Coaching General Principles Course (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or VIT registration.
- Current First Aid HLTAID011 (003) & CPR HLTAID009 (001) qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
