Position Description: The position is full time and duties include general GP, Surgical, Emergency and Mental Health. The surgery does not supply a car. This is for a 40 hour week with an average of four patients per hour. We are currently a DWS location.

Practice Information:
This private practice is a mixed billing doctors’ surgery in Nanango, QLD. The practice is situated at the top of town, the pharmacies are within walking distance and the hospital is only a 5-minute drive. They have a large patient base. Nanango Hospital has 10 acute beds. Kingaroy Hospital is the main Hospital in the region, and it is 25 Kilometers. The service it provides include some surgery, visiting specialists, and allied Health services. The practice first commenced practicing in 2002 with one doctor and now they have three permanent doctors. The practice has excellent admin support including practice manager, experienced receptionists and two practice nurses. The doctors that are currently here have been there longer than two years and the principal doctor has been with there for 4 years.

There are:

- Visiting allied health that come to the practice including: I Hear, Podiatrist, Psychologist and Dietitian
- QML on site
- Three treatments rooms, 5 consult rooms, mole mate room, acupuncture room and a staff room/kitchen.

About Nanango: Nanango is situated in the South Burnett located about 200 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, and similar distance to the coastal regions. The shire population is around 13,000 and the town around 3,000. The area is a well-known agricultural region and also has a strong commercial enterprise. The town has a supermarket, schools-both public and private. There is a public and private primary school and a public high school, a local hospital with 10 acute beds, 2 pharmacies, 2 blood collection agencies, banking facilities, library, cafes, bakeries, motels, a couple of restaurants and service stations. There are opportunities to enjoy a wide range of leisure activities. There is a local golf course, bowls club, tennis courts, and most other sports are played in the area. Nanango also has an indoor heated aquatic centre. The area also plays host to some great wineries and most of them provide meals. About 1 hour drive from Nanango are the Bunya Mountains where you can appreciate and enjoy the beauty of the area and its wildlife. There is accommodation and camping grounds. In the region there are a couple of large dams, where people enjoy fishing and other water sports. House prices are very reasonable. Kingaroy is a larger centre and is a 20-minute drive from Nanango. It has 2 hospitals. Both hospitals have visiting specialists including cardiologist, gynaecologist, general surgeon, ophthalmologist. Also situated in the town is a radiology centre where they provide x-rays, ultrasound and CT scans. Kingaroy has a large shopping center with specialty shops. Employment opportunities for partners are in the trade industry, office workers, nursing, aged care and childcare.
