This permanent role offers the chance to build and lead a multi-skilled civil engineering team, delivering major infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.You'll work closely with SMEC's national leadership, engage directly with local clients and convert opportunities into successful outcomes. You'll also mentor and develop the next generation of engineers in the Northern Territory.**Key Responsibilities*** Build, lead, and mentor a Darwin-based civil engineering team with diverse skills across multiple disciplines.* Actively engage with government, industry bodies, and clients to identify opportunities and grow our project pipeline.* Oversee and deliver projects to a consistently high standard, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.* Provide civil engineering expertise across a broad range of projects including roads and highways, ports, urban development, and general civil works.* Manage projects and contracts in line with the Northern Territory Government's Standard Conditions of Contract.* Drive commercial performance, including project profitability, utilisation, and EBIT targets.* Collaborate with SMEC's transport, water, energy, and urban development teams to provide integrated solutions.**About You**You're a seasoned civil engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
