About the Role:

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a real difference in the lives of our Aged Care community? We're looking for a dynamic and passionate Senior Clinician Speech Pathologist Grade 3 to join our innovative team at Monash Health on a part-time basis (0.8 EFT / 60.8 hours per fortnight) across multiple Monash Health locations.

This is your chance to step into an exciting leadership role, where you'll be at the forefront of innovation and change. Playing a key role in transforming and enhancing our services, making a lasting impact on aged care as we continue to grow and evolve

You will provide best practice assessment and intervention to facilitate safe, evidence-based, high-quality care. Providing consultation and clinical expertise to the Aged Care Services program and coordinating Speech Pathology service delivery to maximise operational effectiveness and clinical outcomes. You will be responsible for working within the inter-professional teams to provide high quality care through creating strong partnerships within and outside of Monash Health. This role will actively lead program transformation to support current and future program needs.

The Senior Clinician is a core part of the Aged Care Services leadership team, with key responsibilities including managing a clinical caseload, supervision and/or mentoring of staff and students, leading clinical research and quality project activities, and driving evidence-based service delivery. This is a unique opportunity to join our large, friendly community-based team. This role will suit an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled clinician, keen to take responsibility for leading a team ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality client care, driving service development, and championing impactful continuous improvement activities and research.

Mandatory requirements of the role:

- Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Bachelor of Health Science (Speech Pathology), Master of Speech Pathology or recognised equivalent degree (including overseas qualified speech pathologists who have completed a mutual recognition agreement or competency assessment via Speech Pathology Australia in the previous two years)
- Eligible for membership as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia
- At least 7 years post graduate experience
- Post graduate qualification (or working towards) Leadership/ Management/ Gerontology/ Other relevant field (desirable)
- Research active (desirable).
- Current Victorian Driver's License
