Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead the daily operations of our Geraldton retail outlet. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining store standards, managing staff, and ensuring a positive customer experience — all within a true retail-trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Midwest Fresh Market retail store.

- Lead and manage retail staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management.

- Monitor sales performance, merchandising, and store presentation to ensure an inviting shopping environment.

- Manage stock levels, inventory control, and product displays to maintain freshness and availability.

- Implement in-store promotions, pricing strategies, and seasonal campaigns to drive sales.

- Uphold HACCP, food safety, and occupational health and safety standards.

- Provide outstanding customer service and promptly resolve complaints or queries.

- Manage store budgets, cash handling, and reporting to achieve sales and profit targets.

- Ensure compliance with retail regulations, consumer law, and company policies.

- Foster a culture of teamwork, integrity, and excellence among store employees.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail, or Management (preferred).

- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience managing a retail supermarket, grocery, or fresh food store.Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on customer service.

- Experience managing budgets, staff, and retail KPIs.

- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management software.

- Sound understanding of food safety, stock rotation, and merchandising standards.

- Availability for weekend or public holiday work as required.
