About the role:

What you need to be successful in this role:

- Be enthusiastic about supporting adults, young people, and children with disabilities to live GREAT lives, the lives they want, the lives they choose.
- Have flexibility to work a range of shift patterns, dependent on the needs and type of service provision.
- Possess skills, qualities, and personal attributes that can be used in different situations in a person-centred and values-based approach that aligns with Aruma's values and purpose.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and an inclusive mindset, respecting and celebrating diversity, and adapting support strategies to meet the unique needs of individuals from various cultural backgrounds.
- Have an understanding of and ability to support an adult, young person, or child with their personal care and domestic duties in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Uphold a strong sense of accountability, reliability, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role, maintaining the privacy and dignity of individuals supported.
- Demonstrate a collaborative approach, actively engaging with team members to ensure cohesive support and sharing information that contributes to the overall success of the team.
- Ability to fulfil the job requirements, including manual handling tasks. Additionally, showcase mental wellbeing and emotional resilience to effectively navigate the emotional demands inherent in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Show proficiency in computer and technology use including the Microsoft suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with people who are verbal or non-verbal.
