Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane. PDG helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world‑class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors. We manage our clients’ entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies. Join our team and become part of a community that strives for positive change - providing the best solutions for our clients’ toughest challenges As the successful candidate, you will: - Take responsibility for the successful delivery of the Instrumentation and Control Engineering scope of work - Provide leadership and create a highly committed and aligned team environment focused on delivering positive project outcomes for the client - Develop discipline design and associated engineering deliverables to support feasibility studies and detailed engineering - Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules - Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams - Participation in formal engineering review processes such as HAZOPs and CHAZOPs You will bring to the role: - A degree in engineering with demonstrated experience commensurate with CPEng status - Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements - Demonstrated design and engineering experience in the mining and metals sector (esp. iron ore, alumina and base metals) or similar heavy industries such as energy and infrastructure - Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities - Have current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to instrumentation and control systems engineering ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures - Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level - Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions Don't meet every single requirement?
