We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Primary for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The School
Wanneroo Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School situated in the North Metropolitan Education District. The school caters to 410 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and has a long and positive history with its local surrounds, being established in 1899.
At Wanneroo PS the focus is on providing an environment where students are supported to achieve and successes are celebrated.
There is a high level of professionalism amongst Wanneroo PS staff, where all members of the team have high expectations of each other. There is a focus on implementing whole school approaches based on research of best practice, including contemporary teaching, learning and assessment strategies that are relevant for the context of Wanneroo PS.
Suitable applicants will ideally be outstanding classroom practitioners who can continue and enhance current school practices. The application of effective instructional strategies to engage and challenge learners in a supportive and safe learning environment is essential. Applicants will ideally require an expertise in differentiating the curriculum, catering for students of varying ability and motivating them to achieve to their full potential.

As new staff members you should implement school-wide practices to meet the needs of students and ensure the creation of an environment that promotes success. These practices include Explicit Direct Instruction, CMS/ISE, Positive Behaviour Support, Seven Steps to Writing Success, Action Respect, amongst others.
