Job Role: Accounting & Administration
Compensation range: $1,100 AUD - $1,400 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 7 AM - 3.30 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you/'ll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: We are a fast growing Construction company based in regional NSW, We build mostly in the residential building market but cross into commercial on small projects. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on innovation, we strive to meet the evolving demands of our customers while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and versatile professional to join our team in the role of Accounting & Administration . working closely with the Director to build systems and create easy work flow processes. This position is ideal for an all-rounder who can provide support in bookkeeping, accounting, data entry, job costing, and general administrative tasks. Any other skill that could be used would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations in Xero.
- Perform job costing and tracking using Wunderbuild, ensuring accurate sync between systems.
- Assist with general administrative duties such as data entry, document preparation, and workflow organization.
- Support in setting up and improving systems, processes, and workflows for efficiency.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
- Handle ad hoc administrative and operational tasks to support business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or administration, ideally within the Australian construction industry.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Experience setting up and maintaining systems, processes, and workflows.
- Proficient in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial data management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus but not required.(wunderbuild)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
