Approximately 18,000 employees in more than 60 countries contribute significantly to GEA’s success – come and join them We offer interesting and challenging tasks, a positive working environment in international teams and opportunities for personal development and growth in a global company.
Would you like to use your skills within technical projects and automation in Siemens TIA Portal, PLC, HMI, and digital networks as you help define how the next generation of filtration plants operate? Working on the core intelligence of GEA’s membrane filtration systems, improving the software program used globally, your work will reach far and wide. Join a global company where membrane filtration is a key strategic technology and be part of redefining what is possible in the Dairy, food and beverage world.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
The Center of Technology for Membrane Filtration in GEA is one of the market leaders. You will join an international team with dedicated filtration colleagues in Skanderborg, Denmark. And globally, you will be part of a network of Automation Engineers from other Centers of Competence (CoC’s).
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of our Automaton Software for Filtration Units as well as automation support to ongoing projects and installed base. Moreover, you will be responsible for our standard software program and contribute your knowledge to the continued improvement of the program.
Travelling 20-30 days a year, you will align programming developments globally with other CoC’s, as you:
- Configure, program, and test PLC and HMI application programs using Siemens TIA Portal
- Carry out online support to customers and commissioning engineers
- Program customer specific solutions into our standard program according to FDS in collaboration with our process experts
- Set up network connections in a digital environment, and contribute to digital product development
- Carry out in-house support to sales and project managers
- Act as internal project manager for outsourced services/projects
Furthermore, some of your time will also be dedicated to FAT- and I/O-tests on new units prior to shipment, specification and purchase of PLC & MCC Panels, maintenance of internal automation network, and preparation of required documentation.
Your profile and qualifications:
You are outgoing, structured and capable of working independently, though at the same time ready to be a part of an international team with a strong team-oriented culture. As a team player, you take responsibility and go the extra mile when needed while staying on top of details.
Finally, we imagine that you:
- Have a few years of experience, e.g., as an automation engineer, electrical engineer, a marine engineer or similar
- Have experience with Siemens TIA Portal (Experience with Rockwell PLC systems is an advantage)
- Have an innovative mindset to challenge the status quo
- Are fluent in Danish and English
