Job Description

The role:

We are seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to work at one of our key education sites in Marion, just a 25-minute drive from Adelaide.

The key to our success is our people. In this hands-on role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to our valued students through meal preparation, cooking, and food service. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving meals at a busy private school.

Roster: Approximately 20 hours per week

- Up to five days over seven (during school term time)
- Various evening shifts available from Monday to Sunday, in consultation with the successful candidate and based on business needs
- Availability required across weekdays and weekends

What this role involves:

- Customer service - serving our students meals and snacks
- Dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen and dining areas
- Assisting with food preparation (e.g., peeling/chopping vegetables, making sandwiches and salads)
- Supporting the preparation and service of functions and conferences
- Maintaining food hygiene, security, and safety standards

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of OH&S and food safety practices
- Full driver’s licence required
