Ready to turn your skills into real-world change? The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) gives you the chance to start strong in a role that shapes how Victorians live, move and connect. The DTP Graduate Program develops future talent to support Victoria’s growing transport and infrastructure network. You’ll complete rotations, gain hands-on experience and contribute to projects that directly impact the state. With tailored development, mentoring and support, this program sets you up for a meaningful career in public service, focused on innovation, planning and real community outcomes.

Who can apply?
- You must have graduated from an Australian or New Zealand university
- Your graduation date must be between 1 December 2023 and 31 January 2026
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with full working rights until at least 1 February 2028
What you/'ll do
- Be part of a program designed to build a strong pipeline of talent for Victoria's expanding transport and road infrastructure
- Gain hands-on experience through structured rotations across different disciplines within the department
- Contribute to making Victoria’s transport network safer, greener and more accessible
