About the Role

The Assistant Manager oversees the service's operational activities, ensuring they are carried out effectively and efficiently. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing complex staff rostering, meeting compliance obligations and identifying opportunities for improvement across the program consistent with the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

As a leader, the Assistant Manager is also expected to build strong relationships with children, families, and educators, fostering an inviting, engaging, high-quality, and responsive service.

The position is part time, up to .9FTE (salary reflects .9FTE).

About You (Selection Criteria)

- Previous experience inLeadership/Management in an ECECsetting with the ability to motivate, influence, mentor, and coach individuals and teams.

- Demonstrated experience indeveloping and managing staff rostersto meet regulatory ratio requirements while ensuring high quality service delivery.

- Demonstrated ability toestablish and maintain strong relationships with children, families, educators, community, and other relevant stakeholders.

- Previous experience inmanaging Compliance and Operations in an ECEC setting.

- Previousexperience in service development(e.g., QIP) in an ECEC setting.

- In depth working knowledge of the NQF (comprising the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regs) and the NQS.
