Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Planner - Copper Concentrator

Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Planner – Copper Concentrator to join our client's team at their head office based in a major international city. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a globally significant project from early development through to execution.

About the Role:

- Position: Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Planner – Copper Concentrator
- Location: Major International City (Head Office)
- Roster: Monday to Friday (Residential)
- Relocation: Full relocation support provided

Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams, you will ensure all planned work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with asset management strategies.

Experience Required:

- Trade qualification or Engineering degree in Electrical / Instrumentation or related field with deep understanding of maintenance management
- At least 7 years of experience in asset management and strategic planning for a high‑tonnage concentrator plant
- Experience with CMMS in the mining industry
- Specific knowledge of Planning and Scheduling Processes
- Experience in equipment maintenance planning relevant to area of responsibility
- In‑depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems (power distribution, control systems, PLCs, instrumentation, automation)
- Experience in maintenance of high‑tonnage copper concentrator plants
- Equipment and Plant Technical knowledge
- Production Process knowledge
- Understanding of Cost Management and Forecasting Processes
- Bias to automation of repetitive tasks
- Experience in Shutdown Planning
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards: NEC, IEC, ISA
- Proven experience managing inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring effective reorders
- Proven experience in maintenance planning for SAG mills and critical equipment at a concentrator plant
- Proven experience in medium and long‑term planning
- Experience with automation systems and control devices such as PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation
- In‑depth knowledge of concentrator equipment (mills, crushers, flotation circuits, conveyors, pumps, and associated electrical & instrumentation systems)
- Creates required part demands and liaises with Inventory Planner to ensure parts delivery in line with Shutdown Schedule Requirements
- Develop detailed work packages from Work Scopes and Work Strategies to define required labour and materials, planning within the CMMS system
- Manage interface with Supply to optimise demand forecasts and deliver Total Equipment Strategies and Corrective Maintenance Work at lowest cost
- Advanced computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (high level Excel) and CMMS software (1C, Ellipse, Oracle, SAP)
