Description

Based at our Springfield campus, this role will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026.

As Mater's first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

We are inviting applications for a wide range of specialist roles across numerous specialties. If you're passionate about clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centred care, we want to hear from you.

We are currently seeking applications for the following Senior Medical Officers:

- Intensive Care
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Orthopaedics
- General Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- ENT
- Urology
- Plastics

You will have Registration as Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (or soon to be registered as a Specialist) within one of the specialty fields listed above.

- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold/be eligible for a visa that allows you to work as a doctor in Australia.
