Short Description: Network Security Engineer

Salary Range: 108,571 - 119,893 (Annual Gross)

Please Note: The above salary range is only indicative and may be subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes

Location: Sydney, Australia

Roles and Responsibilities

- Make recommendations and assist with infrastructure systems, patches and upgrades to ensure the development and maintenance of effective technology infrastructure.
- Conduct all aspects of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of specific infrastructure components, implement new releases as required and investigate and install new releases and patches to ensure the stability and availability of technology infrastructure services to the business
- Provide specialized, escalated support and technical assistance and assist with the monitoring of issue resolution to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner.
- Assist in the design of backup and recovery procedures and plan and undertake effective Disaster Recovery and testing procedures to ensure effective Disaster Recovery plans are developed, documented, tested and implemented.
- Undertake problem determination and root cause analysis as directed to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented appropriately.
- Plan, review and critique proposed changes and implement where applicable to ensure successful implementation of infrastructure changes.

Skill / Competencies / Experience

- Hand-on Experience on Firewall (checkpoint Juniper) Load balancer (F5, NetScaler)
- Hand-on Experience on Datacentre Network and DCNM tool and EVPN understanding.
- Hand-on Experience scripting languages like Ansible, JSON, Python
- Strong Juniper SRX, SD-WAN, SDN & NSX firewall experience
- Exposure on AWS/Azure cloud

Preferred

- Sound Networking skills Cisco
- Can do Network Design documentation
- Strong Implementation/Build capability
