We’re now looking for a qualified Motor Mechanic to join our professional service team and deliver high-quality diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a range of vehicles.

Position: Motor Mechanic (General) – Full-Time

Trading Name: Bridgestone Select Geelong South

Your Responsibilities

As our new Motor Mechanic, your day-to-day tasks will include:

- Conducting routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on petrol and diesel vehicles
- Diagnosing faults using electronic and manual diagnostic tools
- Inspecting and overhauling engines, gearboxes, brake systems, and suspension components
- Performing roadworthy checks, safety inspections, and compliance testing
- Replacing worn or damaged parts, including clutches, timing belts, water pumps, and batteries
- Carrying out tyre rotations, balancing, and alignments (training provided if required)
- Completing service reports, updating job cards, and maintaining accurate service records
- Working safely in line with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards
- Assisting team members and delivering great service to customers and fleet accounts

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)
- At least 3years’ post-qualification experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems in light vehicles
- Familiarity with diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and service quality
