About the role

The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of comprehensive care of a specific group of patients requiring escort from the Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA) Unit or Inpatient wards to the Preoperative service Unit. This role involves giving a comprehensive clinical handover and ensuring patients are safe and feeling supported in their preoperative care.

Your main duties

- Providing comprehensive handover utilising the preoperative handover and checklist process from the ward or DOSA to the Perioperative Services team

About you

- Registered with AHPRA
- 2-3 years’ experience as an Enrolled Nurse position
- Experience working in Surgical Services
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competence as nurse clinician
- Demonstrated contribution to teamwork and quality and safety initiatives
