Your next opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Allocations Supervisor to join the Victorian Cement Logistics Operation for Boral, ensuring the effective allocation of our Cement fleet to deliver a premium level of service to customers. You will be responsible for leading the team of Allocators to ensure that customer orders are resourced, truck utilisation is maximised and DIFOT and service levels are achieved efficiently. This is a permanent role based at Port Melbourne.

Your day will involve:

- Supervise a team of Allocators including coaching and mentoring team members in order to meet customer service KPIs and service metrics
- Continuously review and improve customer service delivery in order to achieve operational efficiencies
- Maximise the value to the organisation through identifying and delivering flexible effective allocation models and service opportunities
- Ensure timely and accurate customer communications are aligned with effective allocations to meet customer expectations, also ensuring safety and operational effectiveness
- Identify opportunities for alternate allocation strategies and fleet scheduling to improve customer service and profitability.

What are we looking for?

- Experienced supervisor with the ability to effectively lead a small team
- Previous experience managing an allocations team
- Proven track record of people leadership with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing deadlines
- Proven experience in working collaboratively in an industrially-diverse environment with the ability to build trust and confidence
- Strong understanding of chain of responsibility and NHVR
- Analytical skills with the ability to review operational metrics and drive improvements
- Intermediate skills with logistics software and MS Office suite
- Transport and Logistics industry experience.
