About the Role

Our BA VIC workshop based in Somerton is seeking a Hire Coordinator/ Stores person to join the team. As our Hire Coordinator / Stores, you’ll be the central point of contact for customers and internal teams. You’ll make sure the right gear is booked, delivered, and returned on time while keeping operations running smoothly and customers happy. You’ll be responsible for running the warehouse ensuring all goods in and goods out are accurately accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate equipment hire bookings, extensions, returns, and dispatch

- Provide hire advice, quotes, and frontline customer service (phone and in person)

- Schedule deliveries and collections with drivers; organise transport/logistics

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Maintain accurate hire records, rental agreements, and documentation

- Process customer payments and keep financial records up to date

- Track and update fleet availability in the hire system

- Liaise with the Service Manager on daily operations and priorities

- Maintain accurate company inventory registers, ensuring all inventory, consumables, units and head brackets are recorded correctly.

- Receival of all inventory into the store, unloading of trucks with forklift and overhead crane, locating inventory into its correct locations,

- Carry out regular cyclical stock takes.

- Pick, pack, despatch goods and arrange freight.

- Liaise with suppliers: obtain costings, place orders, and manage purchasing of goods and consumables.

What You’ll Bring

- Excellent punctuality, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance.

- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.

- High attention to detail.

- Previous experience in hire, logistics, scheduling, service coordination, spare parts interpreting, customer service, stores or warehousing is desirable however not essential.

- Computer literacy and confidence using digital systems, Microsoft Office

- Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment

- Confident communicator with a friendly, professional manner

- Experience with NetSuite (is desirable however not essential) willingness to learn new systems

- Australian work rights is essential

- Current forklift licence is essential.

- Dogging licence for workshop overhead crane use is desirable.
