About the role

We are seeking passionate and caring individuals to join our team as Personal Care Workers on a permanent part-time basis with shifts available in the AM and PM patterns.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will support residents through daily living tasks with a compassionate approach, ensuring each resident feels seen, heard and cherished.

We currently have the following part-time shift patterns available:

- AM Shifts – Week 1 & 2: 07:00-15:15 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday); 07:00-14:00 (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday)
- PM Shifts – Week 1 & 2: 15:00-21:00 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday); 15:00-22:15 (Monday, Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality personal care, including showering, grooming, dressing and mobility assistance
- Support residents with daily living tasks such as meal assistance and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment
- Monitor residents’ physical, emotional and behavioural well-being and promptly report concerns
- Coordinate personal care according to individual care plans
- Encourage social engagement and assist with recreational and group activities
- Provide care to residents with complex needs including palliative care, dementia support and pain management
- Support nursing staff with assessments, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the environment and address issues promptly

What We Are Looking For

A caring and empathetic nature is essential, with a commitment to supporting residents to live with dignity and comfort. You will build strong relationships with residents and their families in a high-quality, person-centred care environment.

Successful Candidates Will Have

- Ability to work a part-time roster
- Experience in Residential Aged Care or Home Care (desired)
- Experience with Dementia Care and Palliative Care support (desired)
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and build meaningful one-on-one connections with residents
- Strong communication skills to support residents in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to a BEST-based workplace culture (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Mandatory Requirements

- Qualification: Cert III in Individual Support, Cert IV in Ageing Support or equivalent (Aged Care)
- First Aid & CPR: Current or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Check (Victoria) – Employee
- National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Up-to-date vaccinations in accordance with Uniting AgeWell's Vaccination Policy
- Full Australian Working Rights
